Japanese/English/Chinese Sentences on Goals

Hello everyone. This is my first 'project,' and I really just wanted to test out how Windows Movie Maker works... The video has some problems with it, it sounds rough and there is a missing sentence.... can anyone figure out where and what it is?

I tried to make a Hyunwoo-style one (where he talks about going to school), but I think I got too carried away. At least now I know I can't be a graphic designer, video editor or audio podcaster (my voice doesn't sound good when recorded)... haha...

I hope you all enjoy it anyway... Please help by making any suggestions...

Awesome! Nice to see another person making videos! My only criticism is that we can't see your pretty face!!!!!!

In the opening, the way you used 为 should be pronounced with the fourth tone. 其实,不是为了。。。而是为了。。。《---那里

Nice to have goals too. Maybe I'll have a video with some firm goals too...

Nice one!

OMG! That was the exact thing I was not sure of... I mean I hear everyone say 为 in a 4th tone when in '为了' and heck even I say that but I was thinking... hey it's 2nd tone in the dictionary... but I forgot that it's a 多音字...

Hello Nicholas,我认为你是个很善良的人 by your voice and your comments ^_^
In fact, there are some little tricks to distinguish the 4th and the 2nd tone in different situations:

1)when we want to underline an AIM, we should use the 4th tone.
For example: "为了旅行而省吃俭用","为你付出很多的感情","为工作而熬夜" etc.

2)the 2nd tone is OFTEN used like ¨as...¨ For example ¨作为...¨,"成为...","变为...",etc.

3)Have you found out the 4th tone is often used at the beginning of a sentence or a phrase; but the 2nd is always behind of another word (X+为wei2=verb)

I hope sincerely my poor English explanation could help you in some way...T.T...

Nicholas ^^ you're as serious and diligent as Hyunwoo! So I'd be very serious to help you...

1)¨I don't want to set-in for level 1¨
如果译为"我不想考一级",可能会更"地道"一些...

2)寿shou4 喜xi3 烧shao1

And I'm learning from your English, these sentences are very helpful to me, thank you very much!!!

btw,하하하 I can't get why you said ¨perhaps cooking Japanese food is an adventure rather than a challenge¨?

Great video Nicholas !!!

Very good Japanese, almost perfect ^^!! One little tip that I can give you is your pronunciation when you say ちょ or ちょう - it sounds a bit like the Chinese 'ci' but I think it will sound better if you make it closer to the English 'ch' ^^

Great job!!!!!!
Simply awesome :)

Thank you everyone for the comments!

Yiwei - your English explanations are good... don't worry about it! I'm glad you are learning something from my videos, I'll try to make more...

Hyunwoo - thanks for the tip, yeah I've also noticed I've been pronouncing ちょう strangely since I took up Chinese, thank you for confirming it!
